The Build Up Program at The Idea Center at Miami Dade College leverages the Urban Poverty and Business Initiative (UPBI) methodology, in partnership with the University of Notre Dame and 55+ cities from around the world, to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to launch their own ventures and improve their quality of life through entrepreneurship.
Build Up is a six-week business training program that continues with a full year of mentorship and access to valuable resources. The program equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, guidance, and community support needed to start a business. Over the course of the year, participants follow a clear path of 80 actionable steps designed to help them launch successfully and work toward long-term financial sustainability.
